Social justice

Read. Gape. Think whether you want to laugh or cry. Do either.

Something I came across.

=====================

The Union ministry of social justice and empowerment's latest proposal to dismantle the caste system involves cash inducement.

According to Social Justice Minister Meira Kumar's proposal, upper caste Hindus who marry from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes will be given a cash award of Rs 50,000.

What are you worried about? There's a whole market opening up!

Soon loads of 'upper caste' people will marry 'lower caste' people. The newly married couple splits the money (EQUALLY) and then files for divorce...a cool 25grand per person for nothing...

...so after spending 9000 crore (?) on the OBC reservation thing, some 100s of crores on this is just loose change...+ the side-economy also picks up fine : fake marriage certificates for eg.

Sharan,

Yeah right?
Is there any scheme for converting to "minority" religions? I wont be surprized if there is, given that the govt is now full of commies and so-called seculo-liberals.

In this paricular case, the means justify the end because the system functions completely opposite of what was originally envisaged.

So, the upper caste person gets 50k (sanctioned by the government), and then gets to treat the lower caste person as a servant (sanctioned by the neighbourhood).

A tool for oppression, methinks.

Sharan: Equally? Really? Who are you kidding? :)

In the Shadows: I believe there is already a scheme of that sort. Except that it is run by the "minority religion", on an unofficial basis.
You've surely heard of Christian missionaries offering the ultra-poor a few hundred rupees for converting? Happens a lot in the south.
